 Dear White Christians
by the Reverend Dr. Jennifer Harvey

Wednesday Evenings, Sept. 2-Oct. 28, 2015
Cathedral of the Incarnation, Baltimore

Nearly one year after Trail of Souls, the Truth and Reconciliation Commission invites you to participate in a book study – Dear White Christians: For Those Still Longing for Racial Reconciliation, by Jennifer Harvey. In 2013 Harvey visited Baltimore while on sabbatical and interviewed a few people in the Diocese of Maryland. Some of their thoughts and ideas helped shape the scope and focus of this book. The fall book study is a continuation of events offered by the TRC as a way to keep conversations about race open and engaging. There will be opportunity to attend the book study in person or remotely.

Harvey is coming to Baltimore on Saturday, November 7th to discuss her work. The book study will better prepare participants to engage in discussion on that day. Details coming soon.

The Rev. Dr. Jennifer Harvey is associate professor of religion at Drake University, Des Moines, Iowa. Her other books include Whiteness and Morality: Pursuing Racial Justice through Reparations and Sovereignty and Disrupting White Supremacy from Within.
